40th Anniversary Edition
The Jensen Pack™ is the original frameless
backpack. Perfected by the American climber Don Jensen in the
mid-sixties and produced commercially by Rivendell Mountain
Works from 1971 to 1981, this classic design's hallmarks are
simplicity, functionality, durability and aesthetically
pleasing good looks.
Rivendell Mountain Works is pleased to
once again be producing The Jensen Pack™. This is a true,
vintage, hand made backpack. The Jensen Pack™ is considered by
some to be the pivotal design in the "soft pack"
revolution.
Rivendell packs are not factory
manufactured. These packs are made by elves, in small numbers
in our cottage workshop, located in Rivendell, USA.
Seriously though, we have a home based, micro-cottage
production philosophy. "Small is beautiful"
The Jensen Pack™ is a delight to carry,
moulding to the shape of your back. It is unbelievably
comfortable, and we think it is possibly the quietest pack you
will ever carry.
